About the Producer

The Lamastus Family, coffee producers since 1918, owns Elida Estate, El Burro Estate, and Luito Geisha Estate in Panama's Boquete region. Their farms are situated at high elevations, with some areas reaching up to 2,050 meters above sea level, and are adjacent to the Volcán Barú National Park, providing a unique microclimate ideal for coffee cultivation specializing in the Geisha variety, their coffees are celebrated for exceptional quality and have consistently won international and local awards notably, their Elida Geisha Natural Torre set a world record in 2024, selling for $10,013 per kilogram at the Best of Panama auction. The family's dedication to quality and innovation has solidified their reputation as leaders in the specialty coffee industry.

ABOUT THE COFFEE:

Grown at high elevations in Boquete, their Catuai Natural undergoes meticulous drying, enhancing its sweetness and fruity complexity. While their Geisha variety is world-famous, their Catuai Natural is also highly regarded for its balanced acidity, rich body, and vibrant flavors. This coffee is brewed best as filter or v60, the fruit nodes of peach, nectarine, and variety of berries carry all throughout the drinking process. It has an elegant mouthfeel and super fun to experiment extraction times for espresso, and brew time for pour overs. This coffee is also quite forgiving!
