About the Producer
Julio Cesar Madrid Tisnés is a third-generation coffee producer from Colombia, renowned for his innovative and high-quality coffee cultivation and processing techniques. He oversees several farms in the Risaralda region, including Finca Milán, Finca La Riviera, and Finca Buenos Aires. These estates, collectively known as Café UBA, have gained international acclaim for their exceptional coffees.
Finca Milán, situated in Vereda El Hogar near Pereira, spans 250 hectares, with 220 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. The farm's high elevation of 1,600 meters above sea level and its proximity to the Los Nevados Natural National Park contribute to its unique microclimate and fertile volcanic soils. This environment supports a diverse array of coffee varieties, including Caturra, Castillo, Pink Bourbon, Catiope, and Red Bourbon
